Ubud Corporate Retreat Packages | Summitara Events

What do Ubud corporate retreat packages actually cost and include?

**A boutique Ubud corporate retreat for 20-40 delegates typically runs IDR 4,500,000-11,000,000 per person for 3 days, 2 nights (roughly USD 275-670, for reference only, as of 2026), covering licensed accommodation, a private meeting space, two facilitated sessions, cultural or wellness offsites, and licensed transport.** Prices are quoted and contracted in Rupiah under Indonesian law. Final figures depend on venue tier, group size and season, and are subject to confirmation.

Ubud is Bali’s retreat brain: quieter than the Nusa Dua conference corridor, built for leadership offsites, creative sprints, and wellness-led reset weeks. It works best for groups of roughly 10-60 where the goal is alignment, strategy or team recovery rather than a 500-pax plenary. For large conferences you belong in Nusa Dua; for incentives with overflow, Jimbaran. Ubud is where the thinking happens.

Summitara Events plans these retreats as an honest DMC hub. We do not own the villas or ballrooms; we arrange your program via vetted, legally licensed venues and suppliers, then hand you a single Rupiah-priced proposal you can put in front of finance.

Which Ubud retreat type fits your objective?

Match the retreat’s purpose to the venue style before you shortlist. Ubud’s boutique estates, wellness resorts and creative compounds each behave differently for corporate use.

Retreat type Best for Typical venue style Group size Indicative IDR / pax / day
Leadership offsite Exec alignment, strategy, board resets Private-hire villa estate with dedicated meeting pavilion 8-25 2,600,000-4,200,000
Wellness reset Burnout recovery, culture repair, senior teams Spa-anchored resort with yoga shala + treatment rooms 12-40 3,000,000-5,500,000
Creative sprint Product, design, marketing, R&D intensives Open-plan creative compound, breakout gardens 15-45 2,400,000-3,800,000
Culture-led team retreat Bonding, onboarding cohorts, milestone celebrations Village-adjacent resort with craft, cooking, rice-field activities 20-60 2,200,000-3,600,000
Incentive-style reward High performers, channel partners Luxury boutique resort, upgraded rooms + private dinners 15-35 4,500,000-8,000,000

Bands are per person per day, indicative and subject to venue confirmation, quoted in Rupiah with USD shown for reference only, as of 2026 and subject to change. Ubud incentives sit here; Flores and Labuan Bajo incentive programs are handled by our sister hub, labuanbajoconference.

How much should you budget per person?

The per-pax band moves with three levers: how private the venue is, how many facilitated sessions you want, and how much offsite programming you load in. A stripped leadership offsite in a shared boutique resort costs far less than a full-private-estate wellness week with a dedicated facilitator.

  • Lean (IDR 4,500,000-6,000,000 / pax, 3D2N): shared boutique resort, one meeting room, daily breakfast + one group dinner, one cultural offsite, licensed transfers.
  • Standard (IDR 6,500,000-8,500,000 / pax, 3D2N): upgraded resort or partial villa hire, dedicated meeting pavilion, two facilitated sessions, two offsites, all meals, AV package.
  • Premium (IDR 9,000,000-11,000,000+ / pax, 3D2N): full private estate, professional facilitation, wellness track, private chef dinners, curated incentive touches.

Add roughly IDR 1,800,000-3,500,000 per person for each extra night. Groups above 40 usually unlock better per-pax venue rates. Everything above is a planning anchor, dated as of 2026 and subject to change; your binding number arrives only after we confirm live venue availability.

What does a sample 3-day Ubud retreat look like?

This flow suits a 25-person leadership or creative retreat. Treat it as a template we tailor to your objective, not a fixed itinerary.

Day Morning Afternoon Evening
Day 1 Ngurah Rai pickup, licensed transfer to Ubud, welcome lunch Check-in, opening session, objectives + norms Group welcome dinner at estate
Day 2 Facilitated strategy / creative session Offsite: rice-terrace walk with certified guide or wellness block Team dinner + informal debrief
Day 3 Synthesis session, commitments, action owners Closing circle, checkout, transfer to airport Departures

For 4-5 day programs we add a wellness recovery day (spa, movement, silent block) and a culture-immersion day (craft, cooking, or a community-visit activity with a licensed guide) between the working sessions, which is where Ubud outperforms every other Bali zone for senior teams.

How long is the airport transfer to Ubud?

Delegates arrive at Ngurah Rai (Denpasar) International Airport, the gateway to the Nusa Dua-Jimbaran-Ubud corridor. The road transfer to central Ubud is roughly 90 minutes to 2 hours in normal conditions and can stretch beyond that in peak traffic. Bali’s land and sea connectivity upgrades run through 2030, so transfer time stays a real planning constraint. Build a buffer into arrival-day schedules and avoid stacking a hard session immediately after pickup.

Two practical notes. Passports need at least six months’ validity beyond arrival and at least two blank pages; many nationalities use visa-on-arrival or e-visa, but rules must be checked per delegate nationality and verified close to contract signature. And the U.S. Consular Agency Bali sits at Jimbaran Hub, Jl. Karangmas, Jimbaran, Badung 80361, useful to note for U.S. delegate duty of care.

What compliance rules shape an Ubud retreat?

Bali’s provincial conduct rules (Governor Wayan Koster, Circular Letter SE No. 7 of 2025) directly shape how an itinerary is built. Foreign visitors pay the mandatory tourist levy electronically via the official Love Bali platform (lovebali.baliprov.go.id). Cultural and natural-site visits must use certified licensed guides, transport must be licensed, and accommodation must be legally licensed, with enforcement on unlicensed stays tightening. Temple and public-space dress and behaviour codes apply, and single-use plastics such as plastic bags, Styrofoam and plastic straws are banned at venues and offsites, so we plan reusable-first. Tourists may not conduct business or work in Bali without official documentation.

On money: under Bank Indonesia Regulation No. 17/3/PBI/2015, every transaction settled in Indonesia must be priced and contracted in Rupiah, which is why every figure here is anchored in IDR with USD shown for reference only. Delegates should exchange into IDR on arrival at licensed money changers displaying official Bank Indonesia QR codes. Under Law No. 8 of 2010 on money laundering, anyone carrying cash or instruments worth IDR 100,000,000 or more into or out of Indonesia must report to Customs; in May 2026 Bank Indonesia also tightened undocumented cash foreign-currency purchases from USD 50,000 down to USD 25,000. None of this is legal advice; verify per-delegate specifics with licensed advisers close to signing.

How does booking an Ubud retreat work?

  1. Send your brief. Group size, objective (leadership, wellness, creative, culture, incentive), preferred dates and a rough per-pax budget in IDR.
  2. Receive a shortlist. We return two or three licensed venue options with indicative Rupiah pricing and a draft flow within a few working days.
  3. Refine the program. We lock facilitation, offsites, transport and AV, then align the itinerary to the compliance points above.
  4. Confirm in Rupiah. You get one consolidated IDR proposal; on approval we secure venue and supplier holds.
  5. Run the retreat. On-ground coordination, licensed guides and transport, and a single point of contact throughout.
