What does a Bali meeting package actually include?
A standard DDR covers the meeting room on a half- or full-day hire, one or two coffee breaks, a working lunch, and core AV (screen, projector or LED, basic PA, flipchart, notepads, mineral water). It does not automatically include accommodation, airport transfers, evening functions, premium AV (LED walls, simultaneous interpretation), or the 21% service-and-tax that most Bali hotels add on top. Read every proposal for the “++” — that is where budgets slip.
Because of Bank Indonesia Regulation No. 17/3/PBI/2015 (the Obligation to Use Rupiah), every Bali meeting contract must be priced, quoted and invoiced in IDR. Any USD figure you see here is a clearly labelled reference-only conversion, never the contractual currency. Advertising, quoting and even internal price sheets have to use Rupiah as the base, so ask any supplier who quotes you only in dollars to reissue in IDR.

Zone choice drives price, transfer time and the delegate experience more than almost anything else. Nusa Dua stays the safest base for large conferences; Jimbaran absorbs overflow and retreats; Ubud anchors wellness and leadership offsites as bleisure demand grows. What compliance points shape a Bali meeting?
Two rulebooks touch every program. First, Governor Wayan Koster’s Circular Letter SE No. 7 of 2025: foreign delegates pay the mandatory tourist levy electronically via the official Love Bali platform (lovebali.baliprov.go.id); cultural and natural-site visits must use certified licensed guides; transport and accommodation must be licensed; and single-use plastics — bags, Styrofoam, plastic straws, plastic-packaged drinks — are banned at venues and offsites, so we brief caterers on glass-bottle and refill-station setups. Tourists may not conduct business or work in Bali without official documentation.
Second, on money movement: since May 2026 Bank Indonesia (Governor Perry Warjiyo) tightened undocumented cash foreign-currency purchases from USD 50,000 to USD 25,000. Under Law No. 8 of 2010 on Money Laundering, anyone carrying cash or payment instruments worth IDR 100,000,000 or more into or out of Indonesia must declare to Customs, and delegates are best advised to exchange into IDR on arrival at licensed money changers displaying official Bank Indonesia QR codes. Passports need at least six months’ validity beyond arrival and two blank pages; visa-on-arrival or e-visa rules must be verified per delegate nationality close to signing.

- Contract in Rupiah. The venue contract is issued in IDR per Bank Indonesia rules; any USD line is reference-only. You review terms, deposit schedule and cancellation policy before signing.
- Run the event. Our on-ground coordinator manages licensed transport, certified guides for any offsite, compliant catering and the run sheet, with buffer built in for corridor traffic.
