**Summitara Events is a Bali MICE planning hub for corporate buyers, PCOs and incentive houses — an RFP-capture desk that turns venue capacities, IDR-anchored budgets and compliance rules into decision-ready intel. We are a concierge and planning brand; live events are arranged via Bali Premium Trip and vetted licensed venues and suppliers. We do not own the ballrooms, hotels or transport we recommend.**
What exactly is Summitara Events?
Summitara Events is the editorial and planning face of a single job: helping the person holding a corporate meeting, incentive, conference or exhibition brief make faster, cleaner decisions about running it in Bali’s Nusa Dua–Jimbaran–Ubud corridor.
We are not a hotel. We are not a convention centre. We do not sell “the AYANA ballroom” or “BNDCC” — those are third-party venues we help you shortlist, brief and contract through licensed partners. When you engage us, the actual booking, contracting and on-ground delivery is handled by Bali Premium Trip, our operating partner, working with vetted licensed venues, transport operators, certified guides and registered accommodation.
That distinction matters, so we lead with it. A lot of “Bali MICE experts” online are lead-brokers dressed up as owners. We would rather tell you plainly: we arrange, coordinate and advise; we do not own the assets, and we are not a licensed financial, legal or tax adviser. Where a figure or a rule could move your budget or your compliance exposure, we point you to the licensed party who can sign off on it.
Who is this for?
- Corporate buyers running an annual conference, product launch, town hall or leadership offsite.
- PCOs and association planners who need honest corridor capacity data before writing an RFP.
- Incentive houses designing 3–5 day reward programmes for high-performing teams.
- EA and procurement teams who need an IDR-first budget anchor to brief finance.
If you are booking a family holiday or a private yacht, we are the wrong desk — that lives on our sibling leisure and charter sites. Bali incentives and corporate events are the only thing we do here. Incentive programmes based in Flores or Labuan Bajo belong to our sister publication labuanbajoconference, which we link once and hand off cleanly.
Who writes and stands behind this?
The publisher entity is Juara Holding Group. On-site editorial is led by a single named planner persona, Rangga Wibisono, MICE Planning Editor, who brings hands-on corporate-events experience across the Nusa Dua ITDC corridor — venue site-inspections, delegate logistics, and RFP scoping for association and corporate clients.
We hold ourselves to a hard honesty rule: no invented awards, no fabricated ratings, no fake reviews, no borrowed credentials. Every capacity we cite — the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center at roughly 2,500 theatre-style, the Bali International Convention Centre at The Westin, Merusaka Nusa Dua’s ballrooms, AYANA-cluster ballroom spaces — is stated as indicative and subject to venue confirmation. Every price is date-stamped (“as of 2026, subject to change”) because Bali’s costs and rules genuinely move.
What does Summitara Events actually do for you?
| Service | What you get | Typical turnaround | Cost basis (as of 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|
| RFP-ready venue shortlist | 3–5 corridor venues matched to your pax count, with indicative capacities | 2–3 working days | No fee — arranged via Bali Premium Trip |
| IDR budget anchor | Line-item estimate for a 100-pax event, IDR-based, USD reference-only | 3–5 working days | No fee at proposal stage |
| Incentive itinerary draft | Sample 3-day or 5-day programme, compliance-checked | 4–6 working days | Quoted per programme, IDR |
| Full DMC coordination | End-to-end delivery via vetted licensed suppliers | Scoped per brief | Contracted in IDR by Bali Premium Trip |
| Compliance briefing | Rupiah Rule, tourist levy, guide/transport licensing notes | Same day on request | No fee |
Everything is priced and contracted in Indonesian Rupiah. That is not a house style — it is the law. Under Bank Indonesia Regulation No. 17/3/PBI/2015, every transaction settled in Indonesia must be quoted, invoiced and contracted in IDR. A USD or SGD number can appear only as a clearly labelled “for reference only” conversion. Breaching it carries real teeth: as of 2026, penalties can reach IDR 1,000,000,000 (or 1% of transaction value on non-cash breaches), with criminal exposure up to one year’s jail or IDR 200,000,000 for refusing rupiah cash. So when we hand you a budget, the base is always IDR.
How does booking work?
- Send the brief. Message our concierge on WhatsApp with pax count, target dates, event type and rough budget band. Nothing is contracted yet.
- Get the shortlist. We return 3–5 corridor venues with indicative capacities and an IDR-anchored budget sketch, USD shown for reference only.
- Refine and site-inspect. We arrange venue holds and, where useful, a site inspection through Bali Premium Trip and the licensed venue teams.
- Contract in IDR. Bali Premium Trip and the venue issue the formal quote and contract in rupiah. You review with your own finance and legal team.
- Deliver on the ground. Licensed transport, certified guides and registered accommodation are coordinated to your run-sheet, with a compliance check against current Bali provincial rules.
We flag the rules that catch planners out. Under Governor Wayan Koster’s Circular Letter SE No. 7 of 2025, foreign delegates must pay the tourist levy electronically via the official Love Bali platform (lovebali.baliprov.go.id); cultural and natural-site visits need certified licensed guides; transport and accommodation must be licensed; and single-use plastics — bags, Styrofoam, plastic straws, plastic-packaged drinks — are banned at venues and offsites. Delegates also cannot conduct business or work in Bali without proper documentation. We build itineraries that respect all of it.
We also brief the money-movement rules so your delegates are not caught out. As of May 2026, Bank Indonesia (Governor Perry Warjiyo) tightened undocumented cash foreign-currency purchases from USD 50,000 to USD 25,000. Under Law No. 8 of 2010, anyone carrying cash or payment instruments worth IDR 100,000,000 or more in or out of Indonesia must report to Customs, and taking IDR 100,000,000+ in rupiah cash out requires a Bank Indonesia permit. Our standing advice: delegates change money into IDR on arrival at Ngurah Rai (Denpasar) at licensed changers showing the official Bank Indonesia QR code, and carry passports valid at least six months beyond arrival with two blank pages.
Why trust the intel here over a generic listing site?
Because we write for the person holding the RFP, not the tourist. We keep our figures dated. We state where a capacity is indicative and needs venue confirmation. We separate what we know (corridor logistics, licensing rules, IDR budgeting) from what only a licensed adviser should confirm (your specific tax, legal or immigration position). And we never dress a broker relationship up as ownership.
Looking ahead, we track the variables that change a 2027 brief: Bali’s waste-to-energy plant targeted for late 2027, connectivity upgrades running to 2030 that keep transfer times a real constraint, and tightening enforcement on unlicensed stays. Nusa Dua stays the safest base for large conferences; Jimbaran absorbs retreat and incentive overflow; Ubud anchors wellness and leadership offsites. We note a 2025 draft regulation that would require some visitors to disclose three months of bank balances — but it is a proposal, not law, and we treat it as one.
