**Bali runs corporate events across four zones: Nusa Dua for large conferences and kick-offs (BNDCC ~2,500 theatre), Jimbaran for retreats and incentives, Ubud for leadership and wellness offsites, and hotel ballrooms for board meetings and launches. Budget from roughly IDR 1,500,000 per delegate for a half-day meeting to IDR 6,000,000+ for a produced product launch (as of 2026, subject to change).**
Summitara Events is a Bali MICE desk operated by Bali Premium Trip. We do not own the venues below; we arrange your event via vetted, licensed venues and suppliers in the Nusa Dua–Jimbaran–Ubud corridor. Every figure here is a planning anchor, priced in Indonesian Rupiah first because Indonesian law requires it, with USD shown for reference only.
Which corporate event fits which Bali zone?
Different formats want different rooms. A 400-person sales kick-off needs pillar-free convention space and load-in doors; a 12-person board meeting wants a quiet executive boardroom with secure video conferencing. Matching the event to the right corridor zone early is what keeps your transfer times, AV rig and catering realistic.
The table below maps common corporate event types to the recommended corridor zone, an indicative capacity band, and the venue character to brief. Capacities are indicative and always subject to venue confirmation.
| Event type | Recommended zone | Indicative capacity | Venue fit to brief |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sales/annual kick-off | Nusa Dua | 200–2,500 pax | Large convention halls (BNDCC ~2,500 theatre; BICC at The Westin) |
| Product launch | Nusa Dua / Jimbaran | 100–800 pax | Ballroom with staging depth and rigging (Merusaka Nusa Dua, AYANA-cluster ballrooms) |
| Board / executive meeting | Nusa Dua / Jimbaran | 8–40 pax | Executive boardroom, secure VC, private dining |
| Company town hall | Nusa Dua | 150–1,000 pax | Flat-floor hall with stage plus hybrid streaming |
| Incentive / leadership retreat | Jimbaran / Ubud | 20–200 pax | Resort clusters, breakout villas, cultural offsites |
| Wellness / bleisure offsite | Ubud | 15–120 pax | Retreat venues, open-air pavilions, spa integration |
Nusa Dua stays the safest base for anything above a few hundred delegates because the ITDC estate concentrates convention-grade venues, licensed transport and hotel inventory in one secured zone. Jimbaran absorbs overflow and suits smaller incentives; Ubud anchors culture-led and wellness retreats as bleisure demand grows.
What does a Bali corporate event cost in 2026?
The honest answer is per-delegate, per-format. Under Bank Indonesia Regulation No. 17/3/PBI/2015, every quote, invoice and contract settled in Indonesia must be priced in Rupiah, so we anchor every band in IDR and label USD as reference only. Enforcement as of 2026 can reach financial penalties up to IDR 1,000,000,000, so we will never contract you in a foreign currency.
| Event format | Duration | Indicative per-delegate (IDR) | USD ref. only | What it typically covers |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Half-day board meeting | 4 hrs | from 1,500,000 | ~USD 92 | Boardroom hire, VC, coffee break, one meal |
| Full-day town hall | 8 hrs | from 2,200,000 | ~USD 135 | Hall, basic stage AV, 2 breaks, lunch |
| Kick-off (day delegate) | 8 hrs | from 3,000,000 | ~USD 184 | Convention hall, stage, AV, catering, coordination |
| Product launch (produced) | 5–6 hrs | from 6,000,000 | ~USD 368 | Ballroom, staging, rigging, production, F&B |
| Incentive day (offsite) | Full day | from 2,800,000 | ~USD 172 | Licensed transport, guide, activity, meals |
All figures are indicative planning anchors as of 2026, subject to change and to venue confirmation; they exclude the mandatory Love Bali tourist levy, delegate flights and accommodation. USD conversions use an approximate 2026 rate and carry no contractual meaning.
What rules shape your Bali event plan?
Three regulatory layers matter to every corporate planner in Bali, and briefing them into your run-sheet protects the whole delegation.
- Currency and cash. All contracting is in Rupiah. In May 2026 Bank Indonesia, under Governor Perry Warjiyo, tightened undocumented cash foreign-currency purchases from USD 50,000 to USD 25,000. Under Law No. 8 of 2010, anyone moving cash or instruments worth IDR 100,000,000 or more across the border must report to Customs, or face a 10% deduction capped at IDR 300,000,000. Advise delegates to change money into IDR on arrival at licensed changers showing official Bank Indonesia QR codes.
- Provincial conduct (Governor Wayan Koster, Circular SE No. 7 of 2025). Foreign delegates pay the tourist levy electronically via the official Love Bali platform (lovebali.baliprov.go.id). Site visits must use certified licensed guides; transport and accommodation must be licensed; temple dress codes apply; and single-use plastics (bags, Styrofoam, straws, plastic-packaged drinks) are banned at venues and offsites. Tourists may not conduct work without proper documentation.
- Entry logistics. Delegates arrive at Ngurah Rai (Denpasar) International Airport, the corridor gateway. Passports need at least six months’ validity and two blank pages; visa-on-arrival or e-visa rules vary by nationality and must be verified per delegate close to contract signature. The U.S. Consular Agency Bali sits at Jimbaran Hub, Jl. Karangmas, Jimbaran, Badung 80361.
A 2025 draft regulation that would require some visitors to disclose three months of bank balances remains only a proposal, not law. We monitor it, but you should not plan around it yet.
How does booking a corporate event work?
Our desk runs a straightforward, five-step path from enquiry to signed IDR contract.
- Send the brief. Tell us event type, delegate count, preferred dates and rough budget. Message our concierge on WhatsApp 6281128590000 or email sales@balipremiumtrip.com.
- Zone and venue shortlist. We match your format to the right corridor zone and return a shortlist of vetted, licensed venues with indicative IDR capacities and day rates.
- Costed proposal in IDR. You receive a Rupiah-based proposal covering venue, AV, catering, transport and coordination, with USD shown for reference only.
- Site hold and confirmation. We place tentative holds, confirm capacities with the venue, and lock licensed guides and transport for any offsites.
- Contract, run-sheet, delivery. You sign an IDR contract; we manage load-in, production and on-ground coordination through event day.
Planning ahead: what changes by 2027?
Corporate activity stays concentrated in the ITDC/Nusa Dua corridor. Traffic remains a transfer-time constraint, since land and sea connectivity upgrades run to 2030, so we build realistic buffers into every transfer. Bali’s waste-to-energy plant targets late 2027 completion as part of the garbage-free-by-2028 push, and regulatory enforcement on licensed accommodation is tightening — another reason we only place delegations in legally licensed venues and stays.
